Meet the Maker: The Chief Vagrant
Welcome to the Mucky Vagrant Soapery.
Let’s be entirely honest from the start: I didn’t build this studio to be a glamorous skincare influencer. I am a bit of a misfit, I don't take myself too seriously, and if you saw me in the workshop on an average Tuesday covered in clay and walnut powder, "glamorous" is the last word you would use.
But what I do take incredibly seriously is the art of proper, traditional, heavy-duty soapmaking.
Why "Mucky Vagrant"?
The philosophy here is simple. Your skin doesn't need synthetic detergents, fake perfumes, or watered-down chemical fillers packaged in single-use plastic bottles. It needs honest, raw, high-performance nourishment .
I started crafting cold-process soap because I wanted to strip away all the modern industrial noise. I wanted to build hard-working blocks that could handle workshop grease, engine oil, and a hard day's graft on the tools, while being gentle enough to completely comfort easily angered, hyper-sensitive skin.
Raw Ingredients. Traditional Craft.
Every single bar on our shelves is hand-poured, hand-cut, and cured right here in our small studio [1.1]. We don't hide behind mysterious chemical names. Instead, we master the ingredients that traditional soapmakers used for centuries:
- 🥩 Premium Beef Tallow & Lard: Deeply conditioning fats that mimic your skin's natural chemistry for unmatched moisture.
-
🥛 100% Real Goat & Oat Milks: Rich cream bases that deliver a velvety, lotion-like lather to calm reactive skin barriers.
- 🌿 Pure Botanicals & Clays: Natural elements like activated charcoal, French clays, and essential oils that do a proper job of cleansing without stripping your skin.

Built for Misfits.
Whether you are reaching for The Scentless Scoundrel to appease your hyper-sensitive skin, tackling the dirt with The Bog Monster , or just want a bloody good shower that doesn't smell like a synthetic flower bed—Mucky Vagrant Soapery is built for you.
We make real, honest soap for real, hardworking people. No nonsense, no corporate fluff, and absolutely zero liquid plastic.
Thank you for supporting small-batch, independent British craft. Now go grab a proper bar and get clean.
